Building Lots for Sale in The Straw Bale Village

Written by Andrew Morrison

Straw Bale VillageI received messages from a few folks interested in building in Southern Oregon over the last week or so. Many are thinking about the future and some are interested in building soon. All are looking for the perfect place to build. I want to put out there that there are 9 home sites still available in the Straw Bale Village in downtown Jacksonville, Oregon.

The Straw Bale Village is a beautiful place with the feel of the country and just minutes from downtown. There is a 600 square foot straw bale community building, children’s park, year round creek, hiking trails, over six acres of open space, and all the amenities of living in town (natural gas, City water and sewer, DSL and cable, etc…). Lots are priced to sell in the rough economy and real estate market, so now is a great time to make an offer.

If you are looking to build your straw bale home in Southern Oregon, I can recommend fantastic builders with experience and skill in straw bale construction.

  1. Hi Andrew,

My wife and I have just returned from our 3rd trip down to Southern Oregon in the past couple of years and one of our goals has been to find the village. We’ve driven around Jacksonville, right up 3rd street, talked with residents, and Nobody seems to know where this is! Even the information center. I finally found an address this morning, and can’t believe we have been within walking distance of this community but didn’t know it. It’s amazing that the locals don’t seem to know about it either. It is now 2012 and we were wondering if there are any lots/homes still available? If so, how do we find information about them? Thank you, Vincent

  2. Hi Vincent. Isn’t it crazy? It’s always been like that. I don’t know why, but nobody seems to know where it is. Think of it as a peaceful and hidden oasis! There are still lots available. The best thing is to contact me directly and I can get you in touch with the right people. You can email me at [email protected]m.
